Junior Business Development Executive

ASSYST is seeking a motivated and proactive Junior Business Development Executive to support our existing clients and drive new business opportunities. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within the company, with the full support of a comprehensive corporate infrastructure, including capture management, proposal development and management, and subject matter expertise across a broad portfolio of capabilities.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in expanding ASSYST's business in new and existing accounts. Help build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business.
  • Execute strategies for discovering new business opportunities under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Stay proactive, persistent, and eager to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Engage with various organizational levels to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand and articulate ASSYST’s values, products, and services.
  • Assist in responding to client needs and preparing detailed proposals in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts.
  • Support clients in becoming technically proficient with company solutions.
  • Partner with the business development team to develop and execute joint marketing activities that promote company solutions and create incremental opportunities.
  • Help facilitate meetings and presentations with delivery teams and coordinate cross-functional resources to close sales opportunities.
  • Assist in presenting regular partner progress reviews to internal management where appropriate.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from an accredited four-year college/university or related work experience.
  • Experience:  1-2 years of successful Marketing, Sales, Business Development or related experience.
  • Exposure to developing business opportunities utilizing GSA Schedule, IDIQ GWACs, and Agency BPAs, and responding to task order requirements is preferred.
  • Highly organized, research-oriented, and data-driven with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in productivity and collaboration tools such as Salesforce CRM, Google Workspace, and Office 365.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
