Applications Support Specialist (Primavera P6 and SAS)

ASSYST is seeking a qualified Applications Support Specialist to provide comprehensive technical and administrative support for Primavera P6 and SAS applications. The successful candidate will collaborate with key stakeholders, maintain application data, ensure adherence to user standards, and resolve operational issues. This role also involves assisting the analytics team with data extraction and reporting, as well as performing routine maintenance and system upgrades.

Location: Laurel, MD (Hybrid).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and operational support for two commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products: Primavera P6 and SAS.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and optimize processes.
  • Develop and implement customized solutions aligned with best programming practices.
  • Conduct unit testing to validate solutions and assist in user acceptance testing.
  • Follow change management protocols to transition new solutions into the production environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in alignment with service level agreement (SLA) metrics.
  • Work closely with the IT team to deliver secure, on-schedule, and on-budget solutions.
  • Mitigate security vulnerabilities by coordinating with IT Security and COTS vendors.
  • Collaborate with vendors to maintain, support, and upgrade COTS applications.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise across key tasks and high-impact assignments, with the ability to plan and lead moderately complex technology projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and SAS, including the ability to load, manage, and back up project files.
  • Experience working with various operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
  • Proficiency in P6, SAS, SharePoint, ServiceNow, OBIEE, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
