Business Analyst - PMP Certified

ASSYST is seeking a highly skilled Integrations Business Analyst with an active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification for our client in Annapolis, MD. This hybrid role requires expertise in analyzing and documenting business processes, ensuring successful integration within the judicial system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document existing systems and business processes.
  • Interview users to determine functional requirements for new development and enhancement projects.
  • Collaborate with Judiciary personnel to develop test plans and coordinate testing efforts.
  • Work with technical leads and developers to refine project technical requirements.
  • Assist in developing and refining systems development methodology processes and artifacts as needed.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting project status to support project and Project Management Office efforts.
  • Provide input and support for the development of Project Definition documents to establish initial project scope, cost and resource estimates, impact on existing activities, and estimated return on investment.
  • Perform data analysis to support projects and develop necessary database inquiries.
  • Coordinate the use of business analysis, project requirements, test planning, tracking, and problem reporting throughout projects within the Judicial Information System (JIS).
  • Conduct JAD sessions and coordinate business unit review and approval of project functional requirements and test plans.
  • Report weekly time focused on total time and task allocation using templates and/or time tracking software.
  • Act as a liaison with justice partners to provide accurate data exchanges and facilitate changes required by legislation or business mandates.
Required Qualification:
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Master’s degree in Information Systems.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in Information Technology (IT).
  • Experience with a court or legal background(Preferred).
  • Required Experience & Skills:
  • UML and other tools for capturing and documenting user and functional requirements.
  • NIEM / JIEM data modeling.
  • Requirements capture and tracking software.
  • XML and SOAP protocol software.
  • Analyzing and documenting high-level business requirements for internal and external clients.
  • Integration patterns, web services, and APIs.
  • Odyssey Case Management System.
  • Systems development life cycle principles and methodologies.
  • Database concepts, including logical and relational databases.
