Project Manager

ASSYST is seeking an experienced Project Manager  to join the Administrative Applications Production Data Services team in Austin, Texas. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of modifications and enhancements to the Financial Data Warehouse. This role will require a strong understanding of both Agile (Scrum) methodologies and the PMI framework. The Project Manager will be a key point of contact between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring the smooth communication of project objectives, technical designs, and business processes.

Position will be remote. Program will allow candidates who are within the State of Texas.

Location: Austin, Texas (Fully Remote)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project management efforts for large-scale enterprise implementations using standard industry practices, focusing on Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
  • Create, manage, and maintain project artifacts, including project charters, work plans, schedules, and other necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Manage project communication, delivering updates to clients, IT teams, leadership, and oversight entities as necessary.
  • Provide technical support during work hours and be available for on-call support when required.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to leadership and other relevant groups.
  • Oversee the project from initiation to closure, ensuring timely delivery and quality.

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of project management experience for large-scale enterprise implementations.
  • 6+ years of experience in project management with the State of Texas or similar federal/state projects.
  • 3+ years of experience managing Agile (Scrum) projects.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience using Jira for project tracking and management.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent project management certification (Required).
  • Experience with the State of Texas Project Delivery Framework (preferred).
  • Experience with data warehouse applications or database reporting features (preferred).
  • Familiarity with State Procurement and Contracting processes (preferred).
