Assyst is seeking a highly skilled IT Finance Manager to support our client in Tallahassee, FL. This position plays a critical role in managing the financial operations within Disbursements, Revenue, or Financial Reporting sections, helping the organization assess and improve current financial systems and processes while preparing for the transition to a new enterprise financial management solution.

The ideal candidate will bring financial expertise, experience working with the FLAIR accounting system, and a strategic mindset to optimize processes, integrate systems, and align data structures. Job Title : IT Finance Manager
Location: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Disbursements, Revenue, or Financial Reporting within the Financial Management Services department.
  • Assess current financial systems, data structures, and processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition from FLAIR to the new enterprise-wide PALM financial system.
  • Design, develop, and maintain financial data structures and systems for accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial data requirements and processes to optimize financial performance and compliance.
  • Implement data governance policies to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Develop and maintain data warehouses and reporting tools for strategic decision-making.
  • Lead data migration efforts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
  • Integrate financial data from multiple sources to create a unified view of financial performance.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot financial system issues.
  • Collaborate with finance and IT teams to ensure alignment of financial systems with business objectives.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis of financial data projects to prioritize investments and maximize ROI.
  • Maintain documentation for all financial data systems, processes, and policies.
  • Stay updated on emerging financial data technologies and trends to recommend best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Five (5) years of experience utilizing FLAIR, including entering financial transactions.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and accounting principles.
  • Experience in financial reporting, data analysis, and systems optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or systems implementation.
  • Knowledge and experience with enterprise financial systems.
  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques to extract meaningful insights. Experience using data visualization tools to create reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to develop and maintain complex financial models for planning, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Experience with integrating financial data from multiple sources and understanding of data mapping techniques.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting standards and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve financial data issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
