ASSYST is seeking a EHR Database Migration Specialist, to lead the migration of our client's EHR system to a new SaaS model EHR. This role involves end-to-end planning, data migration, testing, and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations, ensuring a seamless transition to the new system.
This is a Fully Remote role.
Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop migration strategies for EHR to a new SaaS model.
- Conduct data assessment, cleansing, and mapping, ensuring compatibility.
- Document the migration process, design workflows, and work with SMEs to ensure requirements are met.
- Ensure data migration aligns with HHSC standards, including HIPAA.
- Establish data integrity protocols, validation, and auditing.
- Develop and execute test scripts, manage scenarios, and analyze results.
- Debug issues to ensure system reliability post-migration.
- Provide regular updates, resolve issues, and present technical challenges and progress to stakeholders.
- Train end-users, optimize system performance, and prepare documentation.
Requirements:
- 7+ years in database management and EHR systems.
- Proficiency in Informix, Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, and business analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data migration challenges.
- Effective communication and documentation skills for engaging stakeholders.
- Experience with IT architecture principles and emerging technologies.
Preferred:
- 2 years in SaaS EHR systems, cloud data migrations, and familiarity with Texas DIR standards.
- Experience in regulatory compliance, especially healthcare data security.
