ServiceNow Change Management Coordinator

ASSYST is seeking a ServiceNow Change Management Coordinator (FOCUS) Software to manage our client’s the Change Request Lifecycle of all hardware and software assets in the production environment. Works to ensure efficient and effective change management in the Information Technology department. Assists with the development of Change Management processes & procedures to improve efficiencies. Serves as an advocate for change management best practices.

Work Schedule: Hybrid (3) workdays onsite and (2) remote work days
Location: Laurel, MD

Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Partners with the IT Change Management Administrator to conduct weekly Technical Review Board (TRB) and Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings with IT senior     management, IT division-section managers, and representatives from all business areas.
  • Serves as a liaison between IT and the business community
  • Supports the IT Change Management tool administrator.
  • Supports day-to-day user needs, software upgrade deployments, and enhancement configuration.
  • Supports IT Change Management reporting; Reporting includes change request resolution and monthly metric reports for senior management.
  • Supports IT configuration management function
  • Performs internal QA of weekly change request submissions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Supports the functional configuration tasks and activities for software implementation projects.

Required experience:
  • Experience in Service Now Change Management Software
  • Experience reviewing change requests in ServiceNow.
  • Experience creating and implementing IT asset governance procedures for all change management lifecycle stages.
  • Knowledge of IT Change Management best practices.
  • Knowledge and understanding of change management tools.
  • Proven ability to execute tasks and meet deadlines under pressure consistently and effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and organization skills.
  • Ability to develop and intuitively present complex ideas (conversationally or in presentations) to audiences with varying degrees of technical experience.
  • Outstanding customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to automate processes for efficiencies.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed and attentive to detail.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint preferred)

Education:
  • At least 4 years of experience working in Change Management
    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology management or related field.
    • 4 years of practical experience in IT change management.
    • ITIL Foundation Certification.

Or
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 8 years of practical experience in IT change management.
    • ITIL Foundation Certification.
