Oracle EBS - Senior Functional Lead - Financials & Supply Chain

ASSYST is seeking a highly skilled Oracle EBS R12.2 Senior Functional Lead for Financials and Supply Chain to support our client in Rockville, MD. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting, implementing, and enhancing Oracle EBS applications while ensuring seamless business operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with business owners, technical teams, and Oracle Support to provide high-quality solutions and process improvements.

Job Title: Oracle EBS R12.2 Senior Functional Lead – Financials & Supply Chain
Location: Rockville, MD

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead troubleshooting and analysis of production issues, including documentation of root causes and necessary configuration changes.
  • Manage new implementations, enhancements, and production support within aggressive timelines.
  • Analyze, document, and test the impact of R12.2 RUP patches or upgrades on business processes and customizations.
  • Provide hands-on support by bridging the gap between business owners and the technical team, articulating issues and evolving requirements.
  • Collaborate with business partners to improve efficiencies using system configurations and automation.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues through analysis, troubleshooting, documentation, and implementation of solutions.
  • Work with Oracle Support, developers, and DBAs to resolve system-related issues via service requests.
  • Participate in and lead projects required for new/changing initiatives or regulatory compliance.
  • Lead requirements gathering and documentation for system enhancements.
  • Oversee all phases of testing, execution, and coordination between functional and technical teams.
  • Manage production migrations of functional/technical configurations while ensuring compliance with audit protocols.
  • Review and assess patch releases to recommend system enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite Financial and Supply Chain applications in a complex environment.
  • Two full lifecycle implementations of Oracle Financial and Supply Chain applications as a functional lead.
  • Functional lead experience in at least five of the following Oracle modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, iProcurement, Purchasing, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Projects and Grants (PNG), Inventory, iExpense, iSupplier, Property Manager, Warehouse/Inventory Management, Order Management, iStore.
  • Experience in project planning, including timelines, requirements documentation, and scope definition.
  • Strong background in collaborating with business owners to gather and document requirements and functional specifications.
  • Expertise in data analysis, system design, and production module configuration.
  • Experience working in an ERP environment integrated with third-party systems.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in business process redesign and analysis of system configuration impacts due to patches, upgrades, module implementations, and cross-functional changes.
