Oracle PL/SQL Developer
Austin, Texas · Information TechnologyASSYST is seeking Oracle PL/SQL Developer to support our client project in Texas. This is a 100% Remote position.
- The Senior Database Developer will perform advanced analysis and development work involving all aspects of supporting, improving, and enhancing and optimizing the database performance for a large project.
- This position requires strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience, along with extensive experience in performance tuning of stored procs and views.
- The developer will also devise approaches to solving complex problems, provide thought leadership, and provide ongoing updates on project status.
- This position works for section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System).
- Work assignments follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agile-like approach for completing code changes for defined releases.
- This role works across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports, in the service of Texas’s 1200 school districts.
- Expertise working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (advanced concepts such as bulk collect, handling data in JSON/X
- Expertise with writing complex Oracle queries and optimizing them to reduce SGA/PGA/TempSpace usage
