ASSYST is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Product Owner/Business Analyst to join our dynamic development team. This role will be responsible for analyzing business systems, gathering requirements, and working closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality web-based Java/Oracle applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Agile methodologies, business process reengineering, and system analysis to drive strategic improvements and ensure timely delivery of products.

Job Location: Austin, TX (1 day remote (Fri) with 4 days (Mon-Thurs))
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.
- Formulate systems to align with overall business strategies.
- Identify new applications of technology to improve business efficiency.
- Conduct business process mapping and reengineering.
- Prepare solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit and ROI.
- Document detailed user needs, program functions, and development requirements.
- Work on a web-based Java/Oracle application used by internal agency staff across multiple divisions.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with development teams to define and prioritize tasks for successful product delivery.
- Write business requirement documents, user stories, and system modification designs.
- Coordinate demos, UAT, code releases, and user communication.
- Work within an Agile environment, ensuring smooth execution of Agile methodologies.
- Provide on-call support when necessary, based on project phases.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proficiency in SQL and system reporting (Oracle, SQL).
- Experience with system testing (Unit, Integration, UAT).
- Strong understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in delivering complex Java/Oracle applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in Project and/or Product Management.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and ensure high-value deliverables.
- Experience with Jira for task and project tracking.
