ASSYST is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst for our client in Tallahassee,FL to support, maintain, and develop mission-critical applications for the Automated Training Management System (ATMS) and other FDLE information systems. This position is housed within the Professionalism Program, specifically supporting the Law Enforcement Standards Compliance and Training and Certification service areas.
This role requires advanced technical knowledge in J2EE/Java development, JBoss application server, JSF, and database environments including MS SQL Server and Oracle. The ideal candidate will contribute to full system lifecycle development, technical analysis, stakeholder engagement, and the implementation of innovative IT solutions.

Location: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance ATMS and other related systems.
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical documentation and specifications.
- Design, code, test, and deploy solutions based on FDLE's business needs.
- Provide structured analysis of business processes and suggest improvements.
- Perform system integration, configuration, and testing in J2EE/Java environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate project updates, risks, and resolutions.
- repare documentation, including design documents, test plans, and status reports.
- Contribute to project planning including task estimation, sequencing, and resource planning.
- Provide consultation on procurement documents and assist in contract evaluations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing systems and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Ensure compliance with ADA and other regulatory standards.
Must Have Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience as a systems analyst on enterprise-level IT projects.
- Strong experience in:
- J2EE/JAVA, JSP, EJB, JPA/Hibernate
- JBoss EAP 7.0+, Java 8+
- JSF and PrimeFaces
- SQL Server 2016+ and Oracle 19c+
- Stored procedures, triggers, views
- REST APIs, Web Services
- HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JSON
- ADA-compliant development
Proven ability to:
- Troubleshoot system defects
- Write efficient, clean code with minimal defects
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a related field.
- Familiarity with tools and platforms such as:
- Eclipse IDE
- Spring Boot, Angular
- Alfresco, Jasper Reports
- MS Project, MS Visio
- IMAP, Unix scripting
- JIRA, NEIM standards
