ASSYST is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support our government client project based in Austin, TX. The Software Test Engineer performs advanced and/or supervisory computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the QA division of IT (Information Technology). Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.
Work mode - This position will be at 100% Remote
This position will work with the project development teams to provide the following Software Testing Services:
- Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
- Create and execute manual and automated functional and regression test cases, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail
- Perform manual testing and data validation
- Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
- Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team
- Execute performance and accessibility testing
Required experience:
- Testing complex Web Applications
- Testing all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
- Database/SQL Language
- Creating Automation test cases
- API, JSON, MXL
Preferred experience:
- Test automation experience using open-source technologies and/or in-house frameworks
- Experience with test frameworks such TestNG, JUnit, BDD
- Experience in API testing (SOAP and REST)
- WAPT Pro, Jmeter, or other performance testing tools
- Experience testing .NET applications
- Experience working with Power BI
- Previous experience with Zephyr Scale preferred
- Previous experience with JIRA preferred
