ERP Functional Analyst

ASSYST is seeking a Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Business Analyst for our client who is in the preliminary stage of procuring a new campus-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Their current ERP system, PeopleSoft, is outdated, and we are seeking to implement a new cloud-based ERP system to manage key operations, including financial management, purchasing, payments, student interfaces, and other critical functions. We are looking for a qualified ERP Business Analyst 3 to join our team for this important project who will be responsible for helping to define and deliver the specifications for the new cloud-based ERP system that will support various operational departments at the college.

Job Title: ERP Business Analyst 3
Duration: 1 Year
Location: Baytown, TX (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and document detailed specifications and requirements for the new ERP system, based on input from a wide range of college departments.
  • Work closely with department representatives to identify business needs and translate these needs into functional requirements.
  • Assist in the selection and implementation of a new cloud-based ERP solution.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the ERP system meets the functional needs of the client.
  • Manage and document system changes and configurations during the implementation phase.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for improvement or modification within the current system.
  • Ensure the new ERP system integrates effectively with existing systems and meets user requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting during the ERP system's roll-out and post-implementation phases.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of developing and documenting requirements from large groups of various departments.
  • Experience delivering a cloud-based ERP solution in an educational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, analyze, and document business processes and system requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience with ERP system implementations, particularly in a higher education or similar institutional setting.
  • Knowledge of financial management, purchasing, payments, and student interfacing systems in the context of ERP systems.
