Business Analyst

ASSYST is seeking a Business Analyst to support our government customer based in Tallahassee, Florida.

Work mode – Onsite
Location - Tallahassee, Florida.

Scope of Work:
  • Gathers and analyze information and specifications needed for the project team;
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify and document business needs, objectives, and challenges;
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, surveys, and meetings to gather requirements;
  • Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications;
  • Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs) and functional requirement specifications
  • (FRS);
  • Prepare use cases, process flow diagrams, and system mockups to visualize solutions;
  • Maintain documentation for future reference and audit purposes;
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams;
  • Facilitate effective communication to ensure all parties have a clear understanding of requirements;
  • Conduct presentations and walkthroughs for stakeholders to validate requirements;
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure requirements are implemented accurately;
  • Test proposed solutions to verify they meet business needs (user acceptance testing – [UAT]);
  • Identify gaps and issues in the proposed solutions and suggest modifications;
  • Evaluate current business processes and recommend improvements or optimizations;
  • Implement best practices and standards in business analysis and documentation; and
  • Provide insights into trends and patterns through data analysis.
Required experience:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a technical or business role;
  • Strong skills in analyzing and documenting technical processes, mapping out business processes, identifying barriers, and analyzing inefficiencies;
  • Experience with data mapping, data modeling, and data integration between systems;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred experience:
  • Familiarity in business process mapping and defining current state applications in required documentation.
  • Experience facilitating sessions with business leadership, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and users within a business function.
  • Skilled in understanding web applications and common application approaches to support business capabilities.
Education:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information
Systems, or other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience is required. Relevant
experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis when applicable.
