SailPoint Engineer

ASSYST is seeking a skilled SailPoint Engineer to support our client in Tallahassee, Florida.

Location: Tallahassee, Florida
Job Type: Contract (W2/C2C or 1099)
Position: Onsite, No Remote Work Allowed.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage user accounts by performing onboarding, offboarding, and access changes while ensuring permissions align with job roles and employment status.
  • Configure and maintain access control tools, implementing RBAC and ABAC mechanisms, managing roles, entitlements, and access policies.
  • Design and maintain role-based dashboards, monitor critical access control metrics, analyze trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, resolve provisioning/access errors, and investigate incidents of unauthorized access.
  • Conduct reporting and auditing through regular access reviews, audit trails, and compliance reporting.
  • Collaborate with security and IT teams to ensure integration, enforce security procedures, and respond to suspicious activity.
  • Provide training and support on identity management processes to both technical and non-technical users.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience (4 years).
  • Minimum 3 years experience with IAM systems such as Okta, SailPoint, or Microsoft Identity Manager.
  • Skilled in managing roles, user permissions, and access controls across multiple applications and environments.
  • Experienced in system health monitoring, log review, and troubleshooting access issues.
  • Knowledgeable in security technologies like Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and least privilege principles.
  • Strong understanding of compliance standards and integration with access management for auditing and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders, aligning access with job functions and compliance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams with strong listening skills and professionalism.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficient in request management and ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred).
  • Knowledgeable about security best practices, compliance regulations, and identity threat mitigation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and challenge opinions respectfully.
