We are looking for a motivated Account Management Associate to join our team supporting state and local government customers. This role offers the chance to work on meaningful IT projects that improve public services, while building lasting client relationships and growing accounts. You’ll gain valuable exposure to government procurement, IT staff augmentation, and business development strategies—skills that will accelerate your career in IT services and account management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction for repeat business to grow ASSYST’s business in new and existing accounts in the U.S. State and Local government sector
- Execute prospecting strategies to discover new opportunities.
- Identify and develop staff augmentation opportunities to meet client workforce and project needs.
- Demonstrate proactivity, persistence, and a willingness to learn new technology and processes.
- Communicate effectively with all levels to pursue new business.
- Collaborate with and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Clearly articulate our values, products, and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within state and local government agencies.
- Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services to existing clients.
- Work with the business development team to develop and execute joint business development/marketing activities that promote company solutions and generate incremental opportunities.
- Assist in preparing proposals, RFP responses, and client-facing materials.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to promote company services and establish relationships with potential clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1- 2 years of experience in the IT Services Industry.
- Experience in responding to IT Task/Work Orders, TOPRs, RFRs, and RFPs.
- Experience working with IT Professional Services programs, including staff augmentation and other related services.
- Familiarity with State and local government operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with clients and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of state and local government procurement processes and regulations is advantageous.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the USA.
