ASSYST is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to supportour government customer based in Tallahassee, Florida.

Scope of Work:
The Systems Analyst is responsible for the analysis, documentation, and data mapping of IT systems as part of an enterprise application modernization program.
Analyze and document business requirements to design IT systems that meet organizational needs;
Evaluate source code of legacy applications to extract and document data requirements;
Develop design and technical specifications;
Compile and synthesize technical and operational data to improve processes and systems functionality;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals align with business objectives; and
Map data flows between systems, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of three (3) years of systems analysis/programming experience;
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Structured Query Language [SQL], Java, Python), database management, and system analysis tools;
Strong skills in analyzing and documenting technical processes, mapping out business processes, identifying bottlenecks, and analyzing inefficiencies;
Perform data analysis and management, including experience with data mapping, data modeling, and data integration between systems;
Experience with Microsoft Visio and ability to demonstrate proficiency; and
Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience is required. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis when applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with regulatory standards relevant to the corrections industry (e.g., Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 [HIPAA], Criminal Justice Information Services [CJIS] Security Standards, etc.);
Experience designing processes that comply with industry-specific standards;
Familiarity with tools like Lucid chart, or specialized business process modeling tools.
Skilled in developing systems solutions requiring both analysis and research.
