ASSYST is seeking a skilled and experienced
Healthcare Project Manager to support the implementation of a new Invoice Tracking System for our State client in
Austin, TX.
The selected candidate will be responsible for driving project success by managing timelines, deliverables, risks, and budgets in a fast-paced, hybrid Agile environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who excels in communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Job Type: (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099)
Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of the Invoice Tracking System replacement project
- Facilitate meetings with business and technical stakeholders
- Manage project milestones, deliverables, scope changes, and timelines
- Track and report on project risks, issues, and budget status
- Provide status updates, escalate concerns, and ensure accountability
- Collaborate across teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Ensure alignment across Agile teams for sprint planning and feature delivery
- Maintain focus on completing the project on time and under budget
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience managing large-scale IT projects, including risk, issue, and contingency tracking
- 10 years of strong analytical, research, and problem-solving experience
- 10 years of experience managing SDLC artifacts and translating business needs into technical requirements
- 10 years of experience engaging stakeholders and delivering clear communications and presentations
- 10 years of experience providing project updates, handling escalations, and leading team meetings
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Minimum of 8 years of Agile methodology experience, including sprint tracking and cross-team coordination
- Experience managing feature-driven sprints in Agile environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Agile methodologies within Texas state agencies
- Background in healthcare or public health domain projects
- PMP Certification (minimum 2 years preferred. PMP Copy must be included in the resume)
