Business Analyst
Ausitn, Texas · Information TechnologyASSYST is seeking a Business Analyst to support our government customer based in Austin, TX.
Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Tuesdays and Fridays ) required to be onsite at the location listed above.
Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Formulates systems to align with overall business strategies.
- Experienced in business process reengineering and identifying new technology applications to improve business effectiveness.
- Familiar with industry-standard business process mapping and reengineering practices.
- Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, and buy/build assessments.
- Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and development steps.
- Works in a SAFe environment on major system modernization projects and ongoing Medicaid application enhancements.
- Provides project oversight for Medicaid IT-contracted systems, integrated projects, and dependent efforts.
- Supports documentation and delivery of application enhancements within the Medicaid IT-contracted systems team.
- Serves as an IT stakeholder for various application enhancement initiatives involving multiple Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) vendors.
- Assists in creating processes and documentation to ensure consistent understanding and alignment with agency direction for integrated solutions.
Required Experience:
- Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs.
- Working in an Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
- Experience and knowledge of Texas HHSC processes and Texas Medicaid and CHIP systems.
