IT Product Development Coordinator

ASSYST is seeking an IT Product Development Coordinator to lead and coordinate IT product and solution development initiatives for the ServiceNow platform on behalf of our State client in Tallahassee, Florida.

The ideal candidate will manage delivery schedules, technical integration, and product performance to ensure alignment with business goals and enterprise technology standards. This hands-on role requires experience across the full product lifecycle from planning through release and the ability to serve as a liaison between business owners and technical teams.

Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099)
Job Location: Tallahassee, Florida (Fully Onsite)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate the delivery of software-based products or enhancements, from planning through implementation.
  • Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and enterprise architecture to ensure solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps, release plans, and delivery schedules.
  • Track development progress, manage risks, and ensure readiness for release.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable delivery plans, and monitor execution through all development stages.
  • Support system integration, custom development, and post-deployment readiness for ServiceNow solutions.
  • Align development timelines with available resources, funding, and procurement processes.
  • Lead or assist with prototyping, technical evaluations, and solution testing before release.
  • Coordinate change management, communications, and training related to product releases.
  • Ensure seamless transition of new functionality into operations and user environments.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Communication, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT product development, engineering, or software delivery with a focus on lifecycle management.
  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams on complex product or technology solution implementations.
  • Proven track record in managing product timelines, stakeholder expectations, and cross-team coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform, including integration, configuration, and post-deployment support.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or iterative development methodologies.
  • Understanding of Florida IT governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., Rules 60GG-1 to 5, F.A.C.) is a plus.
  • Strong skills in communication, stakeholder engagement, and translating technical concepts for business audiences.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint 365, Microsoft Project, and collaborative planning tools.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
  • Deep understanding of software product lifecycle stages: planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Experience with feature backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and cross-team dependency management.
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring, user feedback loops, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional designs and development roadmaps.
  • Strong reporting skills on schedule, budget, and quality metrics.
  • Knowledge of ADA, security, and IT accessibility/compliance standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Visio, SharePoint 365).
  • Familiarity with tracking tools like Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
  • Capability to coordinate multiple release cycles while maintaining alignment with stakeholder priorities and funding timelines.
