Assyst is seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design and integration of enterprise-level solutions that align with long-term IT and business strategies. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise, capable of delivering innovative architecture and development standards across a complex technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide design recommendations based on long-term organizational IT strategies.
• Update and maintain enterprise architecture to support evolving business goals.
• Develop enterprise-level applications and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements and system interfaces.
• Utilize various platforms to deliver automated system solutions to internal and external customers.
• Lead integration efforts across business applications to ensure seamless operation and data flow.
• Define and plan complex, business-critical software solutions individually or with project teams.
• Develop and enforce programming and development standards, procedures, and architectures for code reuse.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of modern programming languages and object-oriented methodologies for development, testing, and debugging.
• Consistently utilize current application development methodologies and best practices.
• Research emerging technologies and assess their application to the business landscape.
• Establish and implement design standards and guidelines for multi-platform integration.
• Serve as a technical expert and resource across multiple disciplines and teams.
• Analyze and review system design options, risks, costs, and their impact on enterprise systems like toll collection or departmental solutions.
• Document frameworks for integration and update technical standards accordingly.
• Act as an internal consultant, mentor, and change agent for technology transformation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information systems, or another related field or equivalent work experience as described below.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in multiple IT areas and 2–3 years of relevant architecture experience in tolling, Intelligent Transportation Systems or transit architecture.
• Requires advanced to expert-level knowledge and understanding of architecture, applications systems design, and integration.

Desired Experience:

• Proficient in Oracle PL/SQL development with expertise in advanced features like packages, cursors, triggers, and collections
• Strong understanding of database concepts including data modeling, normalization, and optimization techniques
• Experience with SQL query writing and performance tuning
• Knowledge of database administration tasks like backup and recovery, user management, and security
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve database issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and documentation skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
• Excellent code review and code analyzing skills including reviewing Test results
• Actively participating in hands-on design sessions, creating detailed system architecture diagrams, and defining technical specifications for new applications and systems.
• Conducting thorough technical evaluations of new technologies and frameworks to identify solutions that best fit the organization's needs.
• Providing recommendations on technology adoption and roadmap development
