Job Description: QA Automation Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our team and ensure the delivery of high-quality applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automated testing for complex web applications, a strong background in test design and execution, and the ability to work closely with development teams to ensure software quality across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role involves building, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts, as well as performing manual testing when necessary.


Responsibilities:
  • Analyze user requirements, design documents, and technical specifications to develop detailed test plans and cases.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing using Selenium and TestNG.
  • Perform manual testing and data validation as needed to supplement automation efforts.
  • Execute performance and accessibility testing with tools such as JMeter or WAPT Pro.
  • Validate and manipulate data by executing advanced SQL queries across relational databases.
  • Automate validation of HTML, PDF, and Excel reports using tools such as Apache POI and Apache PDFBox.
  • Work with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and identify test automation opportunities.
  • Report, document, and track defects, test execution results, and testing progress using test management tools such as Zephyr Scale and JIRA.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices by integrating automated tests into build pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience testing complex web applications.
  • 7+ years of experience testing across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • 7+ years of experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, TestNG).
  • 5+ years of experience with advanced SQL queries for data validation and testing.
  • 3+ years of experience with Java programming for test automation development.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Apache POI and Apache PDFBox for validation of reports.
  • 2+ years of experience using performance testing tools (e.g., WAPT Pro, JMeter).

Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Experience parsing web tables for automated result verification.
  • Hands-on experience with Zephyr Scale for test case management.
  • Experience with JIRA for defect tracking and project collaboration.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing standards and tools.
