ASSYST is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to support our customer in Austin TX.
This position is 100% Remote
Location: Austin, TX Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099)
Description of Services: The Software QA Engineer performs advanced and/or supervisory computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the Quality Assurance (QA) section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology โ Statewide Education Data System). Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.
This position will work with the multi-apps development team to provide the following Software Testing Services:
Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases against HTML, PDF, and Excel Reports, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail
Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team
Execute performance and accessibility testing
Perform manual testing and data validation
The QA group supports and facilitates the implementation of all apps/projects in the Texas Education Agency.
Required Experience:
Testing complex Web Applications
Testing all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
Advanced Database/SQL Language
API, JSON, XML
Experience with WAPT Pro, Jmeter, or other performance testing tools
Experience testing reports
Experience in API testing (SOAP and REST)
Previous experience with Zephyr Scale preferred
Previous experience with JIRA preferred
