ASSYST is seeking a
Senior Technical Architect - Cloud Modernization to support a project in
Suitland, Maryland.
The Senior Technical Architect will support the Intelligence Systems Product Line (ISPL) within the service center by leading cloud modernization initiatives, integrating agile delivery methods, and aligning technical solutions with enterprise architecture standards. This role is critical to advancing the digital transformation and intelligence capabilities.
This role is contingent upon contract award. Must possess an Active Top Secret /SCI Clearance.
Job Location: Suitland, Maryland (Onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize technical project plans.
- Conduct milestone reviews and coordinate stakeholder updates.
- Lead and support governance board participation.
- Maintain risk registers and mitigation actions across ISPL systems.
- Track cross-system dependencies and ensure continuity of modernization efforts.
- Develop technical documentation, SOPs, and architecture artifacts.
- Ensure audit-readiness and compliance with federal standards.
- Monitor performance metrics and develop executive-level dashboards.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership and program managers.
- Lead cloud modernization and Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) implementation.
- Apply agile methodologies to improve delivery speed and system adaptability.
- Align technical solutions with ISPL’s strategic objectives and enterprise architecture.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback to enhance system capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- 8+ years in enterprise architecture, cloud modernization, or technical program leadership.
- Experience with federal systems and compliance frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, NIST).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), agile tools (JIRA, Confluence), and dashboarding (Power BI).
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Must possess an Active Top Secret /SCI Clearance.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior support to DHS, DoD programs.
- Familiarity with intelligence systems and secure data environments.
- Experience in governance board facilitation and cross-functional coordination.
