ASSYST is looking for an experienced Business Analyst for our state client in Florida to collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to define, document, and test business requirements for software solutions. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on testing experience, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to gather and document business requirements.
• Create User Stories, Use Cases, process flows, and wireframes.
• Maintain Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) and ensure alignment of requirements to use cases.
• Facilitate JAD sessions, document meeting notes, action items, and update Use Cases accordingly.
• Analyze and document workflows, business processes, and system requirements.
• Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases (functional, regression, integration, ADA/508, security, smoke).
• Conduct manual testing and assist in performance/stress testing using LoadRunner.
• Identify, report, and track bugs in JIRA until resolution.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and document results.
• Verify data accuracy in MS SQL Server, including stored procedures, triggers, and views.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure proper implementation of functional requirements.
• Communicate testing progress, issues, and results to project stakeholders.
• Assist in project deliverables and production implementation activities.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in business requirement gathering, documentation, and JAD sessions.
• 5+ years of experience writing User Stories and Use Cases.
• 3+ years of experience creating and executing Test Plans and test cases.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and UAT testing.
• Experience testing for ADA/Section 508 compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Hands-on experience with:

• Java 21, REST services (Java Spring Boot)
• Angular, HTML, CSS, JS/TS
• MS SQL Server
• JBOSS 5.0+
