Job Description
The Business Analyst serves as a vital link between the business community and the IT organization to deliver effective technology solutions that meet user and organizational needs. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of both business operations and IT capabilities. The analyst will evaluate business processes, identify opportunities for improvement and automation, and translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT development.
The ideal candidate will also facilitate collaboration between business and technical teams, manage requirement changes, and ensure that delivered solutions align with business goals. This role may also contribute to strategic decisions such as buy vs. build evaluations and process redesign initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the liaison between business units and IT teams to identify and implement technology solutions.
  • Analyze business operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for process improvement or automation.
  • Gather, document, and translate high-level business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Support business process redesign and documentation to enable new technology adoption.
  • Facilitate communication and negotiations between business and IT stakeholders from requirements gathering through implementation.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and IT capabilities.
  • Stay informed of technological trends and assess their potential to enhance business performance.
  • Participate in multiple moderately complex projects as a team member and occasionally serve as a project lead.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior business analysts as needed.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Required Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business analysis, information technology, or related technical/business functions.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and IT systems.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into functional requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working in cross-functional project teams.
  • Familiarity with current technology trends and enterprise solutions.
