IT Asset/Inventory Manager

ASSYST is seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager to oversee the full lifecycle management of network-related inventory and assets across the clients organization. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining a structured asset tracking system, ensuring operational accuracy, and supporting procurement, deployment, and lifecycle processes for essential network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing network hardware inventory, administering Monday.com and/or ServiceNow platforms, generating automated workflows, dashboards, and reports, and ensuring alignment with operational, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, manage, and administer an inventory and asset management system specifically for network assets and equipment.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of network inventory including Receiving, tagging, staging, deploying, tracking, decommissioning, and disposal of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and current records on all network assets including serial numbers, configurations, locations, and lifecycle status.
  • Ensure accuracy, accountability, and availability of assets through structured inventory practices and the effective use of Monday.com for workflow management and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, automation workflows, and inventory/asset boards within Monday.com.
  • Create templates and status trackers to support procurement requests, RMA processes, warranty tracking, and maintenance schedules.
  • Generate reports and visual insights on stock levels, usage trends, and procurement forecasts.
  • Balance optimal inventory levels with efficient supply chain management to support repairs and project delivery.
  • Collaborate with network engineers, IT operations, Procurement, and Finance teams to Forecast equipment needs, Coordinate vendor orders, shipping, invoicing, and disposal activities
  • Manage warranty and support contracts for critical network components.
  • Integrate Monday.com with enterprise tools such as ERP, CMDB, ServiceNow, and procurement systems to streamline data flow.
  • Develop, train, and enforce SOPs for asset lifecycle handling, documentation, and governance.
  • Conduct recurring physical audits, reconciliations, and compliance checks to ensure asset integrity.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements with accurate documentation.
  • Provide regular reporting on inventory value, lifecycle status, and replacement planning.
  • Ensure compliance with IT asset policies, cybersecurity standards, and audit guidelines.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with:
  • Managing network inventory and assets, including lifecycle processes, reporting, and platform administration (Monday.com and ServiceNow preferred).
  • Creating and managing automated workflows, templates, dashboards, and reports to support IT operations and governance.
  • Technical writing including SOPs, training materials, lifecycle documentation, and process documentation.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint).
  • Data analytics including weekly reporting, asset utilization insights, and operational dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of network hardware (switches, firewalls, routers, WAPs, phones, PDUs, UPS units, structured cabling, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance operational priorities, cost-efficiency, and compliance requirements.
