Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099)
Position: Hybrid - (Onsite Days, Mondays and Tuesdays) and (Remote Days, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays).
The program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY.

This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure the quality, usability, and compliance of software applications through rigorous testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, write, and execute test cases and test plans to validate software functionality.
- Ensure requirements traceability and adherence to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Utilize Xray Test Case Management and Jira Project Management tools for test documentation and defect tracking.
- Develop and execute SQL queries (Create, Read, Update, Delete) for data validation and backend testing.
- Implement and maintain test automation frameworks using UFT (Unified Functional Testing).
- Conduct API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, JMETER, or similar.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to identify defects and ensure timely resolution.
- Provide detailed test reports and communicate results to project teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation strategies.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in writing and executing test cases, as well as creating test plans.
- 8+ years of knowledge in software usability concepts, requirements traceability, and SDLC processes.
- 8+ years of experience with Xray Test Case Management and Jira Project Management tools.
- 8+ years of strong SQL query knowledge (CRUD operations).
- 8+ years of experience in test automation using UFT.
- 8+ years of experience in API testing and automation using Postman, SOAPUI, JMETER, or similar tools.
- 5+ years of knowledge in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- 5+ years of experience with accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
- 5+ years of experience working with the State of Texas HHS agency and systems.
