ASSYST is seeking a Media Specialist for our client in Gaithersburg, MD. The Contractor will provide professional video services for our clients Public Information Office. This role supports the creation, management and delivery of high-quality video and multimedia content in coordination with internal teams.
The Contractor will work flexible hours based on operational demand. Weekly hours may vary, with some weeks requiring a heavier workload and others a lighter workload, depending on planned activities. The schedule must remain fluid and adaptable, as episodes are scheduled based on participant availability. Work during nights and weekends may be required for certain events but is considered the exception rather than the norm.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate video shoots with sworn and unsworn staff, the Public Information Office and Information Management and Technology Department (IMTD) technical teams.
- Produce, film and edit video content.
- Manage projects related to video shoots, podcasts and documentaries.
- Coordinate all resources required for recordings, including blocking time on schedules and routinely communicating with the entire team to ensure alignment and awareness.
- Manage the approval process for the release of videos, podcasts and episodes.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of video equipment.
- Make recommendations to the Deputy Director and Director of the Information Management and Technology Department regarding the procurement of additional video equipment.
- Provide lighting and sound support for recordings.
- Train centralized and decentralized support staff across the organization.
