ASSYST is seeking a versatile Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team for our upcoming project with our federal client in Sterling, VA. 

The candidate will be responsible for building scalable web applications from front to back, designing robust system architectures, and providing technical leadership to ensure high-quality code delivery.

Please Note: Due to federal contract requirements, this position is restricted to U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.

Technical Requirements

• 3–6+ years in full-stack development with expertise across frontend and backend
• Proven experience leading projects or mentoring team members
• Proficiency in frontend frameworks: React, Angular, Vue
• Strong backend development skills with Node.js, Python, Java, Spark
• Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Expertise in REST/GraphQL API design
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Data Bricks
• Ability to design scalable, maintainable web applications
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, caching strategies, and authentication mechanisms
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to code quality, documentation, and agile practices
• Experience with microservices and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and DevOps practices
• Specialization in performance optimization, security, or mobile/web hybrid applications
