Job Summary
The Mainframe Administration ( Security) serves as a subject-matter expert (SME) in Mainframe security and system administration, with a primary focus on Top Secret Security (TSS) and z/OS environments. This role is responsible for maintaining data security, regulatory compliance, system integrity, and providing advanced technical support for Mainframe operating systems, network components, and associated ISV products.

Job Summary
The Mainframe Administration ( Security) serves as a subject-matter expert (SME) in Mainframe security and system administration, with a primary focus on Top Secret Security (TSS) and z/OS environments. This role is responsible for maintaining data security, regulatory compliance, system integrity, and providing advanced technical support for Mainframe operating systems, network components, and associated ISV products.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for Mainframe Top Secret Security (TSS) administration to ensure data protection, access control, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide primary technical support for z/OS operating systems and system components, including planning, implementation, testing, and support of releases, upgrades, and system changes.
- Support and troubleshoot z/OS system software, network components, and ISV products, including terminal emulation software such as BlueZone.
- Deliver end-user support for assigned Mainframe tools and applications.
- Diagnose platform, system software, and product-related issues; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in maintaining and providing technical support for Mainframe Production Control, batch processing, and monthly Mainframe Job Scheduler activities.
- Support and maintain security configurations, including TLS/SSL certificates, encryption keys, and secure data transfers (SFTP/FTPS).
- Monitor system performance and assist with initial analysis of performance issues to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to ensure secure and stable Mainframe operations.
- Participate in documentation, audits, and compliance activities related to Mainframe security and operations.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Top Secret Security (TSS) administration
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in z/OS Administration
- 5+ years of experience with:
- JES2
- z/OS Unix System Services (OMVS)
- Storage Management Subsystem (SMS)
- 3+ years of experience with TLS configuration, including certificates, SSL/RSA keys, SFTP, and FTPS
- 2+ years of experience with REXX scripting
- 3+ years of experience with performance monitoring and analysis
- 3+ years of experience with Informatica PowerExchange Administration
