ASSYST is seeking a Program Manager for our direct client in Florida who will serve as the principal line of communication for the project team and manage one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide IT programs consisting of multiple projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage resource-loaded and leveled projects;
- Manage one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide IT programs consisting of multiple projects;
- Serve as a liaison with users;
- Ensure project integration and adjust project scope, timing and budgets as needed, based on the Department’s needs;
- Provide hands-on leadership for complex projects;
- Provide project progress reports to internal and external stakeholders as well as executive leadership;
- Manage project spending plans and resources for associated projects;
- Maintain all project artifacts in accordance with Program Management Office (PMO) standards and other documentation as necessary to ensure compliance with Chapter 60GG-1, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.);
- Work closely with customers, stakeholders and IT software developers to document business requirements;
- Manage expectations of diverse stakeholders and provide regular briefings to executives; and
- Work independently as part of a larger cross-functional team.
Required Skills / Qualifications
Education:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience substituted for the educational requirement.
Required Experience and Credentials:
- Possesses a Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification;
- Experience managing successful, large-scale projects that include multiple diverse teams;
- Experience using project software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, Jira, etc. to track and maintain projects;
- Experience with PMO methodologies and documentation;
- Experience in risk and issue management;
- Proven track record of completing project deliverables within the constraints of scope, schedule, cost and quality;
- Ability to effectively coordinate multiple project teams and meet overall objectives; and
- Experience providing excellent leadership and negotiation skills.
