ASSYST is seeking a skilled IT Project Manager to support our client in Austin TX
Location: Austin, TX Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099) Position: Onsite, No Remote Work Allowed.

Summary Senior IT Project Manager with 8+ years of experience leading complex technology initiatives across the full Project Management and Software Development Lifecycles. Proven ability to deliver data, analytics, and application development projects using Agile and hybrid methodologies while managing budgets, risks, and cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end IT projects through PMLC and SDLC
Manage Agile delivery including PI planning, backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily scrums, retrospectives, and Kanban
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, documentation, and status reports
Track project budgets, monitor costs, and update project tracking tools
Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues
Provide regular project status updates to leadership and stakeholders
Lead and mentor project teams; assign tasks and manage performance
Resolve complex project issues and dependencies
Required Experience & Skills
8+ years of IT project management experience across full PMLC/SDLC, including leadership, communication, documentation, risk management, status reporting, and complex issue resolution
5+ years delivering IT solutions including data management (DW/DL), analytics/BI, J2EE web, and SOA initiatives
6+ years supporting healthcare, public health, and Health & Human Services organizations, including multi-agency and multi-IT department programs
5+ years managing Agile/TSS sprint teams, State of Texas stakeholders, and resources in mixed functional and matrix environments
5+ years developing and executing project, work, and quality plans and delivering projects end-to-end (planning through deployment)
5+ years building and leading high-performing IT project teams
3+ years experience with access and eligibility programs
Active PMP certification
