QA Analyst

ASSYST is seeking a skilled QA Analyst for an onsite role in Tallahassee, FL (C2C/1099). The role involves supporting enterprise application development by performing comprehensive testing, managing defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution; equivalent work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in systems development, software testing, or business analysis.
  • Strong Structured Query Language (SQL) skills, including joins, aggregations, and window functions.
  • Solid understanding of testing methodologies (manual and automated) and various testing types including business process, functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
  • Experience defining and executing test plans, developing test cases, managing defects, and preparing test reports within enterprise environments.
  • Basic Unix/Linux skills for job monitoring and log analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools, BI/Reporting tools, and test management tools such as JIRA and ALM.
  • Experience working with databases including Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail to identify defects and inconsistencies.
  • Ability to assess risks, exercise sound judgment, and prioritize tasks to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Must successfully complete a Level II background screening (if required).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry-recognized software testing certifications such as:
    • ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board)
    • CSTE (Certified Software Tester)
    • CAST (Certified Associate in Software Testing)
    • CSQA (Certified Software Quality Analyst)
