ASSYST is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and building scalable systems to collect, store, and analyze data, along with expertise in modern data engineering tools and technologies. This role requires hands-on experience with ETL processes, cloud computing, data pipeline development, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
Scope of Work:
- Develop robust and scalable data architectures to collect, process, and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into efficient data solutions.
- Design, implement, and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest data from diverse sources, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
- Optimize ETL workflows for performance and scalability.
- Build and manage automated data pipelines to integrate information from disparate systems, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure data consistency.
- Leverage Snowflake's cloud data platform for data storage, querying, and processing.
- Implement data warehousing best practices, including schema design and performance tuning, in Snowflake environments.
- Develop and deploy data engineering solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, leveraging services like Lambda, IAM, and orchestration tools.
- Collaborate using GitHub for version control and implement robust testing strategies to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Utilize Python, SQL, and NoSQL databases to build and maintain efficient data systems.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code to support data-related tasks and workflows.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Hands-on expertise with Snowflake, ETL tools, and data pipeline development.
- Proficiency in cloud computing, specifically AWS, including familiarity with services such as Lambda, IAM, and orchestration tools.
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and experience with NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and database design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
