ASSYST is seeking a highly experienced
PeopleSoft Financials Business Analyst to support a dedicated CAPPS Financials upgrade project team for our client in
Austin, TX.
The ideal candidate will have deep functional knowledge of PeopleSoft FSCM modules, particularly eProcurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Asset Management. The analyst will also provide backup support for one or more of the following modules: Accounts Payable, Purchasing, or Supplier Contracts.
This role involves working closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze requirements, document complex system processes, develop test plans, conduct hands-on testing, and support training and multiple test cycles.

Job Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid. All Wednesdays Onsite)
Please Note: Position will be 4 days remote with 1 day (Wednesdays) required to be onsite at the location listed above. Program will only allow candidates who are local to Austin Texas.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business needs and conduct requirement gathering sessions with subject matter experts.
- Document detailed system requirements, business processes, test scenarios, test scripts, and training materials.
- Perform hands-on end-to-end testing, including integration and external interface testing.
- Conduct work sessions, lead functional presentations, and support user acceptance testing.
- Serve as a functional lead or backup for key PeopleSoft modules.
- Collaborate with a diverse project team in a remote work environment using collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
- Manage and estimate assigned work, set deadlines, and communicate progress effectively.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst on PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) implementation or upgrade projects.
- At least 8 years of experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 eProcurement or Strategic Sourcing.
- At least 8 years of experience identifying requirements and creating formal functional documents for business stakeholders.
- At least 8 years of experience conducting formal work sessions and presenting functional analysis.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience performing end-to-end system integration and external interface testing.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- At least 2 years of experience using Microsoft Teams and Channels for communication with large teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with public sector organizations such as federal, state, or local governments.
- Experience working with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) CAPPS Financials.
- Familiarity with the PeopleSoft Approval Workflow Engine (AWE).
- Experience with SharePoint for documentation and collaboration.
- Experience with Jira for issue tracking and Agile workflows.
- Familiarity with the Scrum framework and participation in Agile ceremonies.
- Experience using STAT for PeopleSoft change management.
