ASSYST is seeking a skilled Junior Linux Technician  for our headquarters in Sterling, VA.

Job Type: Full Time/Permanent
Job Location: Sterling, Virginia (Onsite)

Responsibilities:

• Manages Linux PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software
• Provides basic helpdesk support of Linux based computer accounts, access cards, software upgrades.
• Assists with daily backup and infrastructure tasks.
• Assists with managing network printers and copiers.
• Tracks and monitors computer inventory.
• Documents internal procedures.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Good knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and Hardware experience is a plus!
• Willingness to learn and be mentored by technical leads.
• US Citizenship is required; with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
