ASSYST is seeking a Snowflake Admin to Support our client in Austin, TX. It is a Hybrid position. Responsibilities:
Understand business objectives and problems and identify alternative solutions through detailed analysis and cost/benefit evaluation.
Analyze user requirements, operational procedures, and problems to automate processes or enhance existing computer systems.
Collaborate with personnel across organizational units to assess current procedures, identify issues, and gather input/output requirements (e.g., data input formats, summarization needs, and report formats).
Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and the steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
Review and assess computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling constraints to determine if requested program changes or developments are feasible within the existing system framework.
Manage and maintain Snowflake's cloud-based data warehousing solutions to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
Monitor the Snowflake environment for performance issues, and proactively resolve them to maintain a smooth and efficient data pipeline.
Design and implement data integration processes, ensuring seamless data flow within the Snowflake platform.
Collaborate with data analysts and IT management to understand requirements and deliver solutions that align with business goals.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting system performance or data integrity.
Utilize proficiency in SQL to manage complex queries and optimize performance within the Snowflake environment.
Leverage Snowflake’s unique features such as SnowSQL to ensure efficient data processing, reporting, and management.
Maintain a strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes to enhance data integration and ensure accuracy across systems.
Ensure the security and compliance of Snowflake environments in line with organizational policies and industry standards.
Manage user access controls and monitor data storage to maintain high levels of security and data integrity.
Continuously monitor the Snowflake environment to identify opportunities for performance improvement, scalability, and cost optimization.
Implement best practices for performance tuning and ensure systems run efficiently with minimal downtime.
Document system configurations, changes, and updates to ensure traceability and transparency.
Generate regular reports on system performance, data integration metrics, and any issues encountered, providing clear insights to stakeholders.
Experience Requirements:
