Senior .Net Developer

ASSYST is seeking a highly experienced Senior .NET Developer to lead the design, development, and modernization of financial system reporting frameworks for our client in Austin TX

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in modern Microsoft technologies, legacy system migration, and database optimization, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in an Agile/SCRUM environment.

Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099)
Job Location: Austin TX (Fully Remote)


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop a new reporting framework using .NET 8, Blazor, and other cutting-edge Microsoft technologies.
  • Lead the migration of legacy applications and reports to the modern reporting framework.
  • Analyze, enhance, and optimize complex reports built with Crystal Reports integrated with Oracle databases.
  • Develop scalable, high-performance financial system solutions, ensuring seamless integration with Oracle databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the DevOps team, to maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
  • Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in a SCRUM/Agile environment.
  • Provide innovative solutions to modernize and streamline legacy projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in SDLC with a focus on modernizing legacy systems and delivering high-performance solutions.
  • Expertise in Microsoft technologies, including:
  1. .NET 5/6/7/8 Framework
  2. Blazor (Server and WSM), C#, Visual Studio
  3. Entity Framework for seamless database integration.
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle database management, including:
  1. Writing and optimizing PL/SQL and stored procedures.
  2. Performance tuning for complex queries and systems.
  3. Proficiency in version control systems, especially Bitbucket.
  • Strong understanding of modern software design principles and technical documentation.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues within financial systems.
  • Experience working in SCRUM/Agile methodologies and utilizing project-specific tools such as:
  1. JIRA, TEMPO, Bitbucket, and Confluence
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience modernizing reporting frameworks and financial systems.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, particularly in CI/CD pipeline maintenance and automation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability to address technical and architectural challenges in legacy-to-modern transformations.
