QA Engineer - Automation (Level 3)

ASSYST is seeking a QA Engineer - Automation (Level 3) to support our client in Austin, TX. It is a 100% Remote position.

Responsibilities : 
  • Perform software quality assurance, testing, and provide support for various applications.
  • Develop, enhance, maintain, and execute test plans and scenarios to ensure the quality of web-based J2EE/Portal applications within a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) platform, using Agile methodologies.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, test design, test data preparation, and testing of various application components as part of the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve goals and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Create and maintain technical and design documentation as required.
  • Utilize modern testing methods to verify that applications function properly and are free of errors.
  • Provide technical support during testing and implementation phases.
  • Participate in program design, coding, and test walk-through meetings, contributing input on technical standards and customer requirements.
Required Experience : 8 years
  • Experience and knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of software development, including the full software development life cycle (SDLC), and familiarity with industry-accepted software engineering practices and lifecycle methods (e.g., Agile).
  • Knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of computer systems, information technology equipment, programming languages, computer hardware and software, and operating systems.
  • Experience in analyzing requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and writing test plans and test scenarios to ensure that requirements are met within the application and/or business processes.
  • Skill in analyzing software applications, defects, and business problems to draw evidence-based conclusions and devise innovative solutions.
Preferred Experience : 3 years 
  • Proficiency in using tools such as HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Katalon, HP LoadRunner, SoapUI, LoadUI, Selenium, HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), HP Product Portfolio Management (PPM), SQL, XML, and creating/running interface files and batch processes.
  • Experience working collaboratively with development, testing teams, and end-users, applying Agile principles and methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in software quality assurance (manual and/or automated testing) using tools like HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), SoapUI, Selenium, HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), HP Product Portfolio Management (PPM), JIRA, JAMA, PLSQL.
